Ali was born in Burton upon Trent, England in 1986. In July 2009 Ali graduated from Loughborough Univeristy School of Art and Design with a first class degree in Fine Art, during her second year of study her specialism was in photography. She has always been interested in photography, and has a passion for portraiture and fashion. During her degree she has developed a unique and distinctive style, her work appears to blur the boundaries of fine art and fashion photography. Since graduating Ali has exhibited in The National Portrait Gallery’s Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize, and was awarded the Godfrey Argent award and Elle commission in November 2009, for Untitled 1 of 4 from the series To Feel Beautiful. The image taken from her degree show is part of an expanding portfolio of fashion and portrait photography. In April 2010 Ali shot soul singer Lauren Pritchard for the August edition of ELLE Magazine, since then she has been working as a Freelance Photographer & Stylist.
